CTMS PTO Minutes
December 3, 2008

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

The November minutes were reviewed and accepted.

Treasurer’s Report
- Bingo Night raised approximately $1000
- Warm Winter Raffle raised approximately $2,095
- Spiritwear raised $340

Principal’s Report
- The Senior Breakfast was on December 4. The 7th and 8th grade chorus and bands performed and kids served the seniors in our community.
- Holiday Giving program will be repeated this year. Homerooms will collect donations to support families in need in this area. Generally we support 10-12 families with gift cards. Robin Dudek will donate a basket to the homeroom with the highest total donation. PTO is requested to help count the money.
- Next School Dance is January 30.

New Business
- Bingo Night Debrief
o Bring the 50/50 raffle back next year
o Post the Bingo numbers
o More winners quicker (earlier in the evening)

- Spiritwear Debrief
o Connor Sign – very easy to work with and quick turnaround
o Suggestion to round up the prices to even dollar amounts next time for simplicity

- School Play
o 12/9 3:15 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
o PTO donating baked goods for 7 p.m. show

- Barnes and Noble Day
o Fundraiser at Barnes and Noble (Lincoln Plaza) on Martin Luther King Day, January 19, 2009. A portion of anything purchased that day (except gift cards) will be donated to CTMS
o Robin Milaszewski is planning to coordinate a Papa Gino’s Day at same time

- Spaghetti Supper
o Tentatively planning on 3/19
o Chris Mulry to contact Evan Lattimore and Christine Caruso about how to accommodate large number of students in band and chorus this year.

Next meeting is Wednesday, January 7 at 6:30 in the Library.
