When dismissing your child from school, please send a note to school on the morning of the dismissal.  Identify what time you will pick your child up.  We will call your child to the office when you arrive.

OUR HANDBOOK STATES THAT CONVENIENCE BUS TRANSPORTATION WILL NOT BE PROVIDED.  In the past we have reviewed availability on a bus and provided and approved students switching buses when we could.  However, this year many of our buses are at maximum capacity.  We will therefore not allow ANY TRANSPORTATION CHANGES TO ANOTHER BUS, including for day care purposes.  If you must make a regular transportation change - that will occur throughout the school year, on a regular rotation, you must go thru the bus company at 774-234-0678.  If you need for your child to go to another child's home after school - for any reason, you must make arrangements for parent pick-up at the end of the school day.  Should day care be required on our half day sessions, please review the school calendar and prepare your arrangements in advance.  Parent pick-up on half days will be at 11:50.
We apologize for the inconvenience , as always, our goal is maintaining child safety at school, as well as to and from school.
Thank you for your consideration to this situation.





As soon as we receive any notification of cancellation due to weather, we will update the home page of our website immediately.  For sporting events/games, it is the home team who decides on cancellation.  For practices, it is the coach who will notify the office with their respective cancellations.  If there is no update posted, consider the event still "ON"

In the event of cancellation, students will take their regular transportation home at the end of the day.


Our goal at Chocksett is to dismiss all students in a safe, timely manner.  When picking up your child at the end of the school day - during regular parent pick-up, please pull your car up as far as possible, leaving minimal space between cars, allowing as many cars as possible to create a line.  Thank you very much for your attention to this request.

The district's bus transportation is now provided by the companies below.  Please contect them directly for any bus related emergencies or concerns when the school office is closed.

Absence/Sick Line and Dismissals (978-422-6771)

If your student is sick or will be arriving late, please call the school. Homework requests for students will only be filled starting the third (3rd) day in a row of absences. The request may be left on the answering machine or by emailing the teachers directly. After 8:00 AM, please call the CMS phone line at 978-422-6552. If you receive a phone or email message informing you that your student is marked absent, please call 978-422-6552 and ask to speak to the nurse. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE SICK LINE AFTER 8:00 AM. Thank you for your support in this important matter.
Please do not call during the school day for early dismissal,
except in the case of an emergency.

Academic Progress 
In the interest of "going green" and in recognition that the vast majority of parents are already utilizing PowerSchool Parent Access to monitor student academic progress, we are no longer distributing student progress reports in Grades 6-8. Parents of Grade 5 students will be contacted directly by their child's teacher, if there is a concern that needs to be discussed.
Parents who do not have internet access and wish to receive paper copies of updated academic progress must call the office at 978-422-6552.
Report cards will continue to be distributed on paper as we have traditionally done.

School Closings or CancellationsOffice News, on the left side of your screen, has the list of places to check for school cancellations, delays, and early dismissals due to inclement weather. In addition, a Connect-Ed message will go out to all students' families, unless they are on the "Do Not Call" list.
