Joebox M Series Announcement
MECnet is proud to announce that the Joebox M Series has been selected as the standard endpoint security appliance for the State of Maine and their k-12 members. As the initial phase kicks off over the next several months, 100+ Joebox M Series devices will be deployed across the state of Maine as they implement high speed Internet connectivity to selected school districts.
MECnet, which provides best-of-breed Technology Products and Services to school districts and other non-profit organizations, has expanded its base in Massachusetts to now include Maine. The Joebox family of security appliances, which has evolved significantly over the past few years, is our flagship product specifically designed for our customer’s needs. Our entire Joebox line is CIPA compliant and includes firewall and MECguard content filtering services for hundreds of satisfied customers.

MECnet has moved
On June 25, 2009, MECnet moved its main location from 2 Republic Road, North Billerica, MA to 60 Carlisle Street, Chelmsford, MA. MECnet’s new main telephone number is 978-275-1600.
Our new location has some real benefits for the MECnet user community. The building provides greatly increased training space for MECnet users, better lab space for our hardware and software developers and a new high speed fiber connection to the MECnet backbone.
